Hello Reframers!
Itās common for friends, family, colleagues, etc. to ask me what podcasts I listen to regularly, so I figured this would be the perfect platform to share what I listen to with you.
These podcasts give me an unfair advantage in life because Iām often exposed to niche or innovative concepts and ideas that I would never have otherwise been exposed to. Because of some of these podcasts, Iāve learned about topics or ideas at a high level, jotted down notes for follow-up research, and often ended up in rabbit holes that gave me a new and fresh perspective on business, life, myself, and other people.
For example, one of the more well-known and rather ludicrous discoveries was when I heard about Peter Thielās PayPal āfounders sharesā being tied up in a self-directed ROTH IRA, effectively making his rise to B-boy status (what I like to call billionaires) completely tax-free. This discovery led me down the rabbit hole of self-directed IRAs and helped expose me to a whole new world of tax-sheltered wealth creation.
Here is a brief, non-exhaustive list of some fun and interesting things Iāve learned about or implemented from listening to my favorite podcasts.

Buy a standing desk and under-desk treadmill (eradicated my low back pain + step count) šš¾
Improve my sleep š¤
Self-manage symptoms of my anxiety š
Daily sauna and cold shower regimen šæ
Completely pivot my career from corporate finance to commercial real estate and develop new and life-long skills š¢
Build a digital āsecond brainā that stores articles, quotes, books, ideas, thoughts, reflections, tools, helpful resources, etc., all in one place. š§
Learn how to Pronounce St. Tropez and Nice, France š«š·
Understand the principle of being āpermissionless.ā
Use a line of credit against my stock portfolio as a secondary source of āemergencyā expense capital š³
Many, many, more
In general, listening to podcasts has helped me gain serious exposure to āknown but unlived life experiencesā (what I refer to as things I know about but have not directly experienced or been taught by someone else). You often hear the term āYou donāt know what you donāt knowā in the business world, but itās true - if youāve never been exposed to a particular concept, you may not know where to start.
Reading books and listening to podcasts written or hosted by people smarter or more successful than you could be a great place to begin your journey on living a more fulfilled and significant life.
After all, you donāt know what you donāt know. š
My Personal Favorites
Below is the list of podcasts I listen to most often, and I feel they provide the most value to my life. Candidly, there are more that I listen to on and off, but these are the podcasts that I cycle through daily/weekly.

We guarantee* it'll be the best damn podcast you ever heard.
My Description: Listen to two successful company founders discuss interesting ideas and new markets and pick the brains of other successful entrepreneurs. These guys are dorks (I mean that in a very nice way) and often make me laugh out loud with their sometimes childlike or slapstick humor.
They are so curious about learning new and cool things. Itās so obvious how passionate these guys are when talking business. Both Sam and Shaan have successfully exited several businesses and have one of the strongest networks in Tech and VC.
My Favorite Episode: Episode #224 with Rob Dyrdek (yes, the skater and Fantasy Factory guy)

My Description: Four uber-wealthy dudes who care about whatās happening in the world and are too rich to care how it may make others feel. I feel 10x more informed on politics, markets, and business after I listen to an episode. Despite being a business-focused podcast, these guys really make me laugh.

He also repeats several phrases and altruisms across episodes that stick with you. For example, āWhy would you want to be average? The average American is obese, divorced, and has less than $1,000 of savingsā.
And another, āHell is where who you are meets who you could have been.ā
My Favorite Episode: Episode #674 Adam Lane Smith - 17 Ugly Psychology Truths No One Wants To Admit
The Money with Katie Show
Self-Described: Money with Katie was founded in 2020 as a space for me, Katie Gatti Tassin, to document everything I was learning about personal finance on my journey to financial independence.
As a former public relations major in corporate America with a penchant for swiping my Discover card, my obsession about personal finance hit me hard out of left field ā and as I watched my net worth grow in tandem with my financial literacy, I realized just how valuable the information was. Sharing it with others became an obsession.
I left my full-time job at the end of 2021 to devote all of my energy to building this business, and Money with Katie was acquired by Morning Brew in 2022. Today, I run Money with Katie as part of a team of three, and weāre rapidly growing our reach.
My Description: The most relatable personal finance podcast around. Katie is āone of usā. A normal, hard-working person who followed a passion for personal finance and turned it into a successful brand and podcast. Katie is an inspiring success story. Her personal finance advice is highly practical and relevant.
Side note: I sent her an e-mail once, and she responded š
My Favorite Episode: Financial Freedom is Probably Closer Than You Think
The Knowledge Project
Self-Described: Hosted by Shane Parrish, The Knowledge Project Podcast uncovers the best of what other people have already figured out so you can use their insights in your life. More than a podcast; itās a masterclass in understanding lifeās complexities, and enhancing personal and professional decision-making.
My Description: The quality of the guests and the questions Shane asks his guests blow my mind. Shane is inquisitive and knows how to ask the best people the best questions.
His website separates his episodes into various themes. I think there is something for everyone, and I constantly refresh Spotify to see if heās dropped new episodes! He also has a great Canadian accent, which makes it all the more enjoyable to listen to š
My Favorite Episode: The Angel Philosopher with Naval Ravikant | Episode #18
The Tim Ferriss Show
Self-Described: Each episode, I deconstruct world-class performers from eclectic areas (investing, sports, business, art, etc.) to extract the tactics, tools, and routines you can use. This includes favorite books, morning routines, exercise habits, time-management tricks, and much more.

In this episode, Dr. Andrew Huberman supports and backs Gogginsā superhuman fortitude with science. David Goggins: How to Build Immense Inner Strength
The Game w/ Alex Hormozi
Self-Described: Welcome to The Game w/Alex Hormozi, hosted by entrepreneur, founder, investor, author, public speaker, and content creator Alex Hormozi. On this podcast youāll hear how to get more customers, make more profit per customer, how to keep them longer, and the many failures and lessons Alex has learned on his path from $100M to $1B in net worth.
My Description: Alex is one of the hardest-working, most intense entrepreneurs Iāve listened to. He discusses business challenges and creative solutions that are relevant and practical for ALL entrepreneurs, business owners, and business professionals. Heās a bit of a ābroā, but the business advice is too good to pass up.
Alex is hyper-transparent and overshares for the benefit of the audience. I have garnered tremendous business knowledge and apply some of his mental models daily. He is direct and cut-throat but entertaining nonetheless.
Listen to his pod to up-level your business and sales skills.
My Favorite Episode: I have a ton of favorites, but this one spoke to me. (I have a perfectionist problem.) Youāre Not Good Because Youāre Unwilling To Be Bad | Ep 630
Phew! That was a lot of podcasts, but I know they will serve you well as you continue your path toward living a fulfilled life of growth, gratitude, kindness, and significance.
May you always have the humility to learn from others and have the confidence to ask questions.
